Hilary Malina is the founder of Guided Path Estate Services LLC, an Illinois-based company dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the complex and often overwhelming responsibilities that follow the death of a loved one. With a deep commitment to supporting others during life’s most difficult transitions, Hilary brings both professional expertise and heartfelt empathy to her work as an after-loss advisor.

Hilary was raised in Deerfield, Illinois and is a double-graduate of the University of Michigan for both her undergraduate studies and law school. She now lives with her husband and twin sons (and two dogs) in Northbrook. Over the course of three decades, she built a distinguished legal career.  She spent 20 years serving in various leadership roles at CDW LLC, and decided in 2025 to leave corporate life and open Guided Path Estate Services. All of her past experiences inform her thoughtful, organized approach to estate support.

She is a member of the PALS professional organization (Professionals of After-Loss Services). While the majority of her clients are based in Illinois, she may be able to assist individuals in other states, depending on the client needs.

Guided by a passion for helping others and a recognition of the lack of practical and emotional support available to those managing estates after a loss, Hilary founded Guided Path to fill that gap. Her mission is to provide clarity, compassion, and confidence to executors and trustees as they carry out their responsibilities, ensuring no one has to walk this path alone.
